About Me

Hi, I’m Jim

I am a registered and licensed therapist with 19 years of experience working with individuals and couples in private practice. I am passionate about helping people work through challenges, deepen self-awareness, strengthen self esteem and improve their overall quality of life.

My Expertise

Many of my clients describe me as a direct, nonjudgmental therapist who quickly gets to the heart of the issue. I empower people to resolve their challenges by helping them gain clarity and learn practical skills.  With clear direction, clients feel more confident and capable to overcome obstacles.  This approach fosters meaningful personal growth – made easier with the support of an objective, experienced professional.

It is normal to have difficulties, challenges and relationship issues in life – there is no shame in that.  I am passionate about helping people believe in themselves again – and in some cases rediscover who they are – so they can reopen to what is possible in their lives.

I help clients identify the root of their problems and develop creative, effective solutions. Through a process that integrates rational thinking with the development of emotional intelligence, self sabotaging thoughts, feelings and behaviours are released often giving way to insights, break throughs and healthier coping strategies.

By helping people cultivate a growth mindset, they begin to change how they view themselves and the world around them.  With an improved self-image, they feel inspired and motivated to pursue their goals and dreams.

  • “I have been in therapy my entire life and I have never connected with a therapist more! Jim knows exactly what I need to hear and when I need to hear it. He knows when to push me and when I just need to sort my thoughts out. He’s phenomenal at what he does and I truly can’t recommend him more!”
